Running of the Jaynes 2023 Recap

We did it again! Thank you to all of our awesome 2023 Running of the Jaynes Virtual 5k peeps. We had 40 participants from 16 different states. Pennsylvania (of course) topped the list, but NY came in second. We had running, walking, shambling, paddling, and hiking. This year we had a Jayne Reaver, and a wizard (thanks, Leslie!) I tried to grab at least one picture from everyone who posted in our FB event page or sent me a photo. We had an fun meet up in August (pictures below) It took some effort but we got practically everyone’s swag (Hi Barbie!) to them. We raised $500 for Share Food Program (our new charity for 2023) and $500 for Equality Now (there will be additional funds for Equality Now through the wonderful PA Browncoats and their Cosplay+Repair efforts. Look for them at upcoming conventions!) Hope to see you all again. Stay safe and stay shiny!

Thanks to all who participated in the 2022 Running of the Jaynes Virtual 5k. We had 53 participants from 20 different states. Pennsylvania (of course) topped the list, but FL, VA, and AZ tied for second. 31.12 was the fastest posted time and 11 hours 45 minutes was the slowest. We had running, walking, shambling, paddling, biking, and hiking. There were four footed friends who joined in, and those who “carried” others across that goal. (we love all our participants). I tried to grab at least one picture from everyone who posted in our FB event page or sent me a photo. There was even a zoom meeting! Stay safe and stay shiny!

As of July 31, 2022, we raised $917.80 from Running of the Jaynes 2022!

Thanks to all the shiny folk who participated in the 2021 Running of the Jaynes Virtual 5k (Apologies for the delay in posting there were multiple Reaver attacks last year)

We had 50 participants (48 runners/walkers/bikers…you name it we’ll take it) from 18 different states. Top three states were PA, NM, and NJ. 28:34 was the fastest posted time (definitely blew away my time!). I tried to grab at least one picture from everyone who posted in our FB event page or emailed me (as FB was being its FB self). You all rocked!

Per our Cap’n Matt, we raised for $1200 for Equality Now in 2021.

xoxo
